Void 02 is a video that is part of the Cat Ghost webseries. It was published on the Cat Ghost Youtube Channel on April 1, 2018. It is the second video in the Void playlist.

The publication of the video coincided with the second countdown in Key hitting zero.

Synopsis

The video starts with the same arcade game Gideon encounters in CatGhost 1 Birthday, Party Country, in a dark room, with a spotlight. Party Country suddenly starts, and shows Elon's skeleton and Malone in the Dark Forest. Elon and Malone talk about death and Elon's past, while Elon slowly walks away, eventually out of the screen of Party Country, then out of the machine, to the point where she is no longer visible. The video ends with Malone telling Elon that she is not ready, before it fades to black.

Connection to Key

Void 02 was released in the Void playlist a day after the second countdown of the seventh game, Key, ended. The second countdown ended with a message saying "Malone has entered our world. She is allowed to pass."

Trivia

• Prior to the release of Void 02, the Void playlist had a deleted video in the playlist. With Void 02's release, the deleted video was removed from the playlist.

Malone: "Let me propose to you a question."

Malone: "How does our species advance if information disappears when we die?"

Elon: "Are you suggesting we don't die?"

Malone: "Oh we die alright. We die real good!... But not everything is lost."

Malone: "Animals are born knowing how to survive. Trees continue to grow. Insects lead and follow, just like they are programmed."

Elon: "Why are you telling me this?"

Malone: "There is a fine line between magic and science."

Malone: "When I found you, you were starving, sick and dying."

Malone: "I took you in and gave you the key but you still turned your back on me."

Elon: "Why do you hide your faces?"

Malone: "Our appearance does not effect the footprints we leave behind."

Elon: "I don't need you. I can do this on my own."

Malone: "Is that why you ran from the wagon?"

Elon: "If fate is set in stone, I might as well be dead!"

Malone: "And that is why you are not ready."

The video fades into darkness.
