The Cat Ghost Website is the official site for Cat Ghost.
Description[]
The site is very basic and features only a homepage with one image and various hidden pages.
Some hidden pages contain images and others are used by the games to communicate with the server.
The main page of the website has been updated several times, always featuring a door in the center of the screen.
In the past, the site often hid links to other pages in its source code.
Main Page - Current[]
The current background.
On an unknown date, the site changed into a very simple, pixelated black-and-white image of the door and the wall. The title of the site is now "The level you are searching for is missing."
The site's change signifies the end of Cat Ghost.

The main page of the website has been updated several times, each time changing the background image. This usually also coincided with a new Shout-Out being added to the site and the old one becoming defunct.
Version 1[]
When the website was first launched, the background image was only a red door with the Horrible Beast face and the number 33 on it, set against a background of stars.
Version 2[]
Sometime between October 5 and 6, 2017, the website was updated to show the same door, except missing the number and open a slight crack. The door was also given a white doorframe.
Version 3[]
On December 10, 2017, The website was again updated and the background received more changes. The door is now set against a wooden wall, lacks the Horrible Beast face, and was opened a little more. Symbols and text are starting to become visible, but can not be completely made out yet.
In this version, text in Theban is hidden underneath the picture, which can only be seen with the contrast and brightness of the picture turned up. This text reads "Your world is ending".
The words "Change is natural" could be found in the source code of this version.
Version 4[]
On April 17, 2018, the website was updated to a fourth version. The door was changed from a red door to a golden one, and was completely opened, revealing a white background.
On the white background is a message reading "Speak to us and you may find your answer." Below this message are Gideon, Naarah, and Elon. Below the three is a message saying "Send a voice message to Catghost" and a button that, at the time, enabled anyone to make a voice recording and send it. At the very bottom of the door, there is a notice reading "Your recording may be used in a future video."
Many of the voice lines recorded at that time were later used in CatGhost 8 Judgement, where the main cast answered or commented on them.
Version 5[]
On May 20, 2018, the website was updated yet again to a closed blue door with the number '67'; the Horrible Beast face was replaced by another face resembling an owl. The wall around the door is made of pale vertical planks of wood.
The font of the CATGHOST header was also changed.
Version 6[]
On September 8, 2019, the website was updated to a closed green door with the number '14'; the face of a lion replacing the previous owl face.The wall around the door is made of darker vertical planks of wood.
The title of "CATGHOST" is missing.
Version 7[]
After the release of CatGhost 13 Acceptance on December 6, 2019, the website was updated to show the blue door opened, and inside, on a simple black background, the text "When one door closes another opens...", and underneath "The next chapter of CatGhost continues." Underneath is a small image showing the faces on all three previous door together with the name "The Legend of Frog". When clicked, the image would link to another site explaining how the universe of CatGhost would have continued in another (now cancelled) game.

- Doors were also mentioned by a Live Key saying "Three doors. Three choices."
- The current background has a similar style to the game Puzzle Party, which was also developed by the creators of Cat Ghost.

Several image links have been hidden in the source code of the website over time, each one referencing and thanking a fan/investigator of CatGhost.
"foryou.png"[]
With the second update, a link to an image was hidden in the source code. The image showed a pale purple moon with four cat's eyes overlaid over it. Text in Theban underneath the image read "We know you are watching - Now you can never leave".
The image was meant as a thank you message/shoutout to Nick Nocturne AKA Night Mind for his video on CatGhost.
The link to the image was removed in the third update to the website and is now defunct.

The third update to the website replaced the previous hidden shout-out with another: A tarot card featuring a sun with a symbol on its face resembling Zalgaloo's persona's facial markings. The Theban text on the image reads "You are the sunlight".
The image was meant as a thank you message/shoutout to Zalgaloo for his CatGhost discussion video.
The link to the image was removed in the fourth update to the website and is now defunct.
"shortbutsweet.jpg"[]
The fourth update to the website replaced the hidden shout-out once again, with an image of Noir Ascii's avatar/persona holding a snowglobe containing shapes that appear to represent Elon, Naarah and Gideon and saying "But what does it all mean?" after which he shakes the globe up and down.
This was meant as a thank you message/shout out to Noir Ascii for his fan theory video series, with the filename 'short but sweet' presumably referring to the fact that the series had just begun and at the time the website was updated it was only two videos in length.

Hidden in the source code in the fifth version is a link to an image of a person with pale skin, light brown hair, a black headband, glasses and freckles looking out over a table with Elon, Naarah and Gideon on it, seemingly lifeless as Naarah is set down on the table rather than floating.
When brightened, the vase of flowers and clock from Window can be seen in the background, with the clock set to 3:35. The bottom of the words "ALWAYS WATCHING" can also be seen at the top of the image.
This was meant as a shout-out to Robobuddies for her video on animated webseries which mentioned Cat Ghost.

By triggering a very rare Secret Ending to Banana, a code in the form of colours and sounds will play. When solved this code led players to an image on the Cat Ghost Website of human Elon and Naarah sitting on a cliff, foreshadowing a scene from CatGhost 7 Key.

On December 29, 2018, community member Culurrien received an unusual response from Key in the form of hexadecimal code, which translated to a previously unknown link to the Cat Ghost website.
The link was to a video, which shows Gideon in form of a wooden log, with a small branch sticking out of him, addressing the viewer directly and telling them that the story will soon continue, while making several tree-based puns.

The hidden painting "youremember.jpg" was drawn by Cat Ghost creator Kris Patrick. He said that he was surprised the fans managed to find it.
Happybirthday[]
The coding to connect the game Happybirthday to the Website and make "Live Keys" possible was done by Valiant Novalight, who is credited under "Special Thanks" in the the credits to CatGhost 1 Birthday. According to Kris, it was "hastily done" and surprised even Valiant when he saw what kind of an impact it had.
