Opening |
|
As the episode begins, an image of a stairwell appears with a static/glitch overlay. White text then appears on the screen. |
WHITE TEXT |
So, this is whare (sic) you have been sneaking off too (sic) at night?! |
|
The text distorts slightly and changes, first the word "whare" gets corrected to "where", then "too" gets corrected to "to". |
WHITE TEXT |
So, this is where you have been sneaking off to at night?! |
|
Suddenly, the image glitches and becomes distorted, changing into a red color. |
RED TEXT |
You are more beast than woman |
|
The image returns to normal--black and white with slight static. |
WHITE TEXT |
No sweatie, please don't cry. I'm not angry at you. |
|
The word "sweatie" changes to "sweetie". |
RED TEXT |
I will make you suffer, harlot! |
WHITE TEXT |
Wipe your tears young lady. |
RED TEXT |
I will take care of your mess. |
WHITE TEXT |
Don't let him see you cry. |
|
The scene fades to black. |
House |
|
As the scene fades in from black, Naarah is sitting at a table with Gideon and Bethany, both with the Skinwalker's eyes. |
NAARAH |
Uh, dinner was really great! |
|
Beth and Gideon show no reaction."" |
NAARAH |
I like what you did with the mashed potatoes. They're um, not really mashed. They're just kinda potatoes... |
|
Beth and Gideon still don't react. |
NAARAH |
So, hehe, um... Do you think we could, um, go to the cliffs tonight? |
|
Beth and Gideon still don't react. |
NAARAH |
[sighs] I didn't mean to worry you. I just need to be outside! It's really important to me. |
|
Still no reaction. |
NAARAH |
Look, I'm not this perfect little girl you want me to be! I don't like dressing up! I like going outisde! I can't help what I- |
|
A knocking on the door interrupts her. |
|
Naarah opens the door and adresses whoever is outside. |
NAARAH |
Sorry, you're gonna have to come back later. Dad isn't home right now. |
|
A bright light suddenly appears outside and pulls Naarah towards it, who is resisting. |
NAARAH |
No! Please! Help! Someone! HEEEE- |
|
She gets sucked into the light and the door closes. |
Dig site |
|
The scene changes, showing Elon digging a hole as Malone watches over her. |
MALONE |
Having fun? |
ELON |
Are you just going to stand there or help me?! |
MALONE |
You know how this works. You can't take without giving something in return. |
ELON |
We'll worry about that later. |
MALONE |
I remember when I was your age. I thought I knew everything about how the universe worked! I thought I was going to be the one to change everything. |
ELON |
Well, you didn't. I speant YEARS studying for this! I was the top of the class. And now, I'm way down with the burden of doing the same thing over and over again. I'm not a machine. I'm real! Don't waste my time with your lectures. |
MALONE |
I'm not the one stuck in a loop. Maybe you should look in the mirror. |
|
Elon looks to Malone with a suspicious expression, while Malone just smugly stares back at her. |
Void |
|
The scene changes again, now showing Naarah floating in the void in front of a red vortex, surrounded by Busts. Bethany appears. |
BETHANY |
I didn't mean for this to happen... |
NAARAH |
Don't speak to me. |
BETHANY |
Tell them she made you do this! Tell them you were under her spell... and this will all be over! |
NAARAH |
I'm not telling anyone anything! She was my friend, and you took her away from me! |
BETHANY |
She will never love you like I do! You don't know what I went through to get you! |
|
Naarah is suddelny floating in the "normal" void again, in black and white. |
NAARAH |
You didn't care about me at all... just yourself. [sniff] Just go ahead and drop me. There's nothing left for me. |
Ending |
|
The Horrible Beast is seen again, and a fire starts, which begins to envelop it and the entire cabin. |
MALONE (off-screen) |
Life... is a series of failures. Some failures set you back a few steps. Some failures put you in the ground. The ones that are eternal... are the ones that aren't forgotten. |
|
The scene changes, showing Malone and Elon again, on a forest path. |
MALONE |
This isn't a game anymore, and you have no idea how good you have it here. If you leave, you will regret it for the rest of your life. But it will be the best thing that has ever happened to you... |
ELON |
Well, guess it's time to grow up! |
|
Music plays as Elon begins to walk away from Malone. The sun rises over the forest and credits are shown. |
