The Busts are large statues of human heads that are seen several times in Cat Ghost.

Description []

The Busts are large stone statues that are slightly smaller than Key. Who created them, who they depict, and what purpose they serve is unknown.

CatGhost 1 Birthday[]

A bust appears inside "Party Country" in CatGhost 1 Birthday. This busts behaves exactly like the ones in Happybirthday, speaking its usual message to Gideon, to which he responds: "Alright, I'm cool with that I guess...". Gideon then touches the bust and wakes up outside.

CatGhost 6 Hole[]

Naarah finds a red bust in the Void upon waking up after she went through the portal in CatGhost 6 Hole. After a while, it opens its mouth, letting out a clone of Gideon and an Egg.

CatGhost 11 Confrontation[]

Several red busts appear again in CatGhost 11 Confrontation, when Naarah is seen hovering in front of a red vortex.

Happybirthday[]

At either end of the playable area of Dark Forest in the game Happybirthday the busts are used to keep the player inside the seven playable areas. The Busts speak to Gideon in white text when he enters their presence, and will always say the phrase "Let us Reunite". It is also unknown whether this means that the Busts themselves are sentient, or that someone is speaking through them as with Key.

Approaching them causes the screen to become more and more filled with static. The static will usually appear white, but can occasionally be a different color. Red, blue, green and yellow static have been observed, however no pattern or meaning to the color change can be gleaned. Upon touching one of the Busts the game will close immediately.

Key[]

Several busts appear in Key, where they are used to represent the players who have the game opened at the time.

The busts float in the void, facing the Megalith. At the end of the countdown when Key starts glowing white, they begin "jumping" up and down until Key stops glowing and its message disappears.

Leak[]

Shortly after Elon and Naarah begin to run through the forest during the beginning of Leak, several busts appear and begin to chase them. The player must avoid the busts by having Elon dodge the obstacles, or else Elon gets knocked closer to the busts. If the player has been hit by obstacles too many times in a short timespan, Elon gets pushed to the busts and the game closes itself.
